Pre-Symposium: This year a pre-symposium meeting will focus on updating Outdoor Environmental Education Center staff on the Maryland State Department of Education changes in environmental education, including the new high school graduation requirement. This session will be tailored to meet the needs of informal environmental educators who provide support to schools.

Symposium: The Annual Symposium for Outdoor Environmental Education Centers will bring together formal and informal environmental educators to share new ideas, challenges, and best practices focused on common interests: grants and partnerships, professional development to school staff, and innovative lessons. It will also provide networking opportunities to promote outdoor environmental experiences for children across the state.
